November 11, 12, 13, 14: Chekov Fest

How long has it been since you've seen live theatre?

The Department of English is putting on a series of plays by Anton Chekhov. They are UNCLE VANYA, THE BEAR, and THE PROPOSAL.

It's a mini festival of plays, including two of Chekov's early farces, The Bear and The Proposal, as well as the tragicomedy, Uncle Vanya. According to their publicity, it features an "outstanding cast of students, faculty, and community members" and is "both hilariously funny and deeply moving". Sounds pretty good to me!

But the BEST part is that this whole she-bang will only cost you TEN DOLLARS (or $15 @ door).

Here's the schedule:

Wednesday, November 11: The Bear and Uncle Vanya

Thursday, November 12; Friday, November 13; and Saturday, November 14: The Proposal and Uncle Vanya

Everything happens at Conron Hall (University College 224), and all shows begin at 8pm.
